Every Discord ID is a snowflake, a number with the account's creation timestamp embedded in it, documented in Discord's developer reference. ScopliDrop decodes that timestamp at entry, so the age is exact and cannot be falsified. You can run the same decoding yourself with the free Discord account age checker.
Account Age & 2FA Requirement
Block Throwaway Accounts With a Minimum Discord Account Age
Pick a minimum Discord account age once in the giveaway builder, and accounts younger than that are turned away before they reach a single task. The rule holds on share links, website embeds, and in-app Discord entries alike.
A Discord account age requirement is a rule on your giveaway that turns away any entrant whose account is younger than a number of days you choose, anywhere from 1 to 365. You switch it on in the builder's security section, and the default of 7 days is already enough to stop accounts created the same day as your drop.
The age comes from the account's Discord ID itself. Discord embeds the creation timestamp in every ID, so the check is instant and impossible to fake, with no permissions to grant and nothing for entrants to fill in. An account under your threshold is blocked with a message that says exactly how many days short it is.
For entries arriving from the open web, a second gate can sit on top, requiring Two-Factor Authentication. Share-link entrants must have 2FA enabled on their Discord account before they can enter, which filters out the mass-created accounts that never touch a security setting.
How It Works
From one toggle in the builder to every entry path enforcing it
- 1
Turn it on in the giveaway builder
In the builder's security section, toggle the minimum account age and pick a number of days, anywhere from 1 to 365. It defaults to 7 days, which already blocks accounts created the same day as your drop.
Set it once and it travels. Giveaway templates store your chosen minimum, and quickstart defaults fill it into giveaways launched straight from Discord with
/giveawaycommands. Every future drop inherits the gate without you thinking about it. - 2
The account's age is read from its Discord ID
Every Discord ID embeds the moment the account was created, so the exact age is computed the instant someone tries to enter. There is no form to fill, no permission to grant, and no API delay. Because the date lives inside the ID itself, it cannot be edited or spoofed. An account that reads as 90 days old was created 90 days ago.
Curious what the check sees? Paste any user ID into the free Discord account age checker and it decodes the same creation date the gate reads at entry.

Too-new accounts are blocked at the door
The check runs before a single task is attempted, on every entry path: share links, website embeds, and in-app entries made inside Discord. Switching entry modes never opens a gap.
A blocked entrant sees the numbers rather than a vague error: the minimum this giveaway requires, how old their account is, and how many days remain until they qualify. In Discord, the rejection arrives in the language your server's giveaways are configured to use.
- 4
Add the 2FA gate for web entries
A separate toggle in the same security section requires entrants arriving from share links to have Two-Factor Authentication enabled on their Discord account. Mass-created accounts rarely have a security setting configured, so the 2FA gate filters them out. For someone with one real account, the cost is a single setup they most likely finished years ago.
It applies to web entries and is available on every plan. Discord only exposes an account's 2FA status during the web sign-in, which is why the gate covers exactly that surface.
Setups This Enables
The same rule, tuned three ways
The everyday 7-day gate
Leave the default at 7 days on regular drops. Accounts created for the giveaway bounce off, and anyone who joined your community more than a week ago passes without ever knowing a gate ran.
High-value drops on aged accounts
For Nitro, cash, or rare-item prizes, raise the minimum to 30 or 90 days and switch the 2FA gate on. Entering now takes an account someone maintained for months, with a security setting a bot farm never configures.
The in-app defense stack
For giveaways running inside Discord, pair the age gate with role and activity requirements from the Discord task catalog. A throwaway account then needs age, membership, and server history at once, and farming your drops stops being worth the effort.
The Creation Date Is the One Thing a Cheater Cannot Fake
Alt farms run on fresh accounts. Age is the cost they cannot skip.
Fresh accounts are the raw material of giveaway fraud. Creating one is free and takes a minute, so without a gate, one person can show up as twenty entrants. Alt farms, bot waves, and ban evaders all start from the same place, an account that did not exist last week.
Age is the one attribute those accounts cannot stage. A username, an avatar, even a message history can be faked in an afternoon, but an account that reads as 90 days old was created 90 days ago. Requiring age forces a cheater to prepare months in advance for every single account, which turns a free attack into an expensive one.
Your members never feel it. Anyone who joined your community more than a week ago passes a 7-day gate without knowing it ran, so the cost lands entirely on throwaway accounts. Alongside it, alt account detection handles the aged alts that money can still buy.
