No. No mode requires a website account. Members who enter from your Discord server are identified by the bot, so they never log in at all, even when the giveaway sends them to a task page on the web. Only someone arriving from a shared giveaway link outside Discord authorizes with Discord once, which is also what auto-joins them to your server.
The Four Entry Modes
Choose How PeopleEnter Your Giveaway
Four entry modes, from a one-click Discord button to a full task funnel. Entrants who arrive from Discord never see a login screen.
An entry mode decides how much you ask of a member before their entry counts. You pick one when you build the giveaway, and it changes where people enter, whether they have to do anything first, and how many entries they end up with.
The same giveaway can be a single click on a Discord button, a full task funnel on the web, or a mix where everybody gets in and the motivated ones earn more. Nothing else about the giveaway changes: the same prizes, the same referral system, the same draw.
The Four Entry Modes
Chosen per giveaway, so the same server can ask for one click on Friday and eight tasks on Monday
Taskless
1 entry
One press of the Enter button under the Discord message and the member is in. No tasks, no web page, no login, nothing to explain. It is the lightest ask a giveaway can make, and it is what people picture when they picture a Discord giveaway.
Light does not mean it cannot grow anything. Turn referrals on and a member enters with one click, then earns bonus entries for every friend they bring.
Reach for this when the prize is the point and you want everybody in.
Web Task-based
Entries from tasks only, starting at zero
Entrants start at zero and earn every entry by completing tasks on their giveaway page, with the full cross-platform library open to them: subscribe on YouTube, follow on TikTok, repost on X, join a server, watch a Twitch stream, hand over an email, or anything your own app can confirm. Each task carries its own entry value, so a task worth three entries is worth three times a task worth one.
This is the default mode, and the one where every entry you hand out bought you something.
Reach for this when the giveaway exists to grow something.
Flexible
1 entry, plus entries from tasks
Everybody who clicks gets one entry on the spot, straight from Discord. Optional tasks on the giveaway page then earn bonus entries on top, for the members who want to win badly enough to do them.
The giveaway looks busy and feels open, because the barrier at the bottom is one click, and it still rewards the people who put work in. Wide at the base, deep at the top.
Worth knowing: alt account and bot detection and geo restrictions run on the web entry path, where an entrant has an IP and a device to check. The one-click base entry comes straight from Discord on the member's Discord identity, so it skips those checks. Only the bonus-task entrants are screened. If you need every entrant geo-filtered or fraud-screened, use Web Task-based, where there is no free base entry and everyone comes through the web.
Reach for this when you want both, and it is the right answer for most servers.
Discord In-App
1 entry, plus entries from Discord tasks
The whole giveaway lives inside Discord. The bot checks the member's tasks against Discord itself and enters them in the app: no browser, no page, no login. Pressing Check Again re-reads their current state, so entries rise when they complete a task and fall back if they drop the role that earned them. The count always reflects what is true right now.
The trade is the task library. This mode verifies Discord-native tasks only: server joins, role checks and role claims, XP level, voice time, and message counts. Anything on another platform needs the web page, so it belongs in one of the other three modes. Referrals and milestone bonuses do work here.
Reach for this when you would rather nobody left Discord at all.
The Four Modes Side by Side
What each one asks of an entrant, and what it costs you
| Mode | Entries | Where they enter | Login | Tasks available | Counts toward your limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Taskless | 1 | Discord | Never | None | No |
| Web Task-based | From tasks only | Giveaway page | Never, from Discord | Full library | Yes |
| Flexible | 1 + tasks | Discord, then the page | Never, from Discord | Full library | Yes |
| Discord In-App | 1 + tasks | Discord | Never | Discord-native only | No |
Every entry mode is unlimited on every plan, Free included. Plans differ by task depth and features, not by how many giveaways you can run.
How Entry Works, Whatever Mode You Pick
The three things that are true of all four
- 1
A member presses Enter in Discord
Every mode starts at the same button, under the giveaway message in your server. A giveaway shared outside Discord starts from a share link or an embed on your own site instead. Someone arriving that way authorizes with Discord once, which is also what joins them to your server.
- 2
If the mode sends them to the web, they arrive already signed in
The bot signs a token that says who the member is and which giveaway they pressed, and the giveaway page trusts it. They land on their tasks already identified. No account, no password, no authorization screen, not even once.
This is what keeps a task funnel from bleeding entrants. The moment a giveaway tool asks a member to create an account before they can start, most of them stop. Here the handoff is invisible, so Web Task-based and Flexible cost the entrant the same first click as Taskless.
- 3
Entries recalculate as tasks complete
Finish a task and the count goes up by that task's entry value. Bring a friend through a referral link and it goes up again. Referrals belong to the giveaway rather than to the mode, so they run in all four, Taskless included.
Entry Mode Is a Friction Dial
Ask for nothing and everyone enters. Ask for everything and the right people do.
Every giveaway balances how many people enter against how much you ask of them. Ask for nothing and a crowd clicks in. Ask for eight tasks and you get fewer entrants, but each one did real work. Most tools sit at one end of that range and build the whole product there: Discord-only bots only do the easy end, website giveaway tools only do the hard end, and neither lets you pick per giveaway.
ScopliDrop covers both ends, because it runs a bot inside your server and a giveaway page outside it. When a mode sends a member from Discord to that page, they arrive already signed in. No account to make, no login, no permission screen. That is what keeps a task funnel from losing people. The usual reason entrants drop off is being asked to sign up before they can start, and here that never happens.
The low end is free, too. A free server can run as many giveaways as it wants, in any mode. Plans differ by task depth and features, not by giveaway count.
