Give Your Most Active Discord Members a Role Every Day

A runner keeps a role on your top members by messages, voice minutes, or XP. When someone overtakes them, the role moves on its own, once a day or every 5 minutes.

An activity runner is a ScopliDrop rule that keeps a Discord role on your most active members. It ranks everyone by messages, voice minutes, or XP, and the top 1 to 10 hold the role. When someone passes them, the role moves to the new leader without anyone touching it.

It counts the activity your leveling system already tracks, so members chat and hang out in voice the way they always do. A level role stays with a member for good, while a runner's role goes to whoever leads right now, so the title can change hands every day.

How It Works

From one metric and one role to a title that changes hands on its own

  1. 1

Pick what your members compete on

Each runner ranks one thing. Messages rewards your chatters. Voice minutes rewards the people who hang out in voice. XP blends both into one score from your leveling system, so it needs Leveling on. Messages and voice are counted as soon as Leveling or the server economy is on.

You can run one runner per metric, so up to three side by side. Each one follows the counting rules you already set for Leveling. Excluded channels and excluded roles don't count, and a rapid burst of messages counts once every few seconds.

  2. 2

Choose the role, the winners, and the bar to clear

Pick the role your winners wear. The picker lists only roles the bot can assign.

Then set how many members hold it, from 1 to 10, and a minimum to qualify. The minimum keeps a quiet day from crowning someone for three messages. If nobody clears it, the spot stays empty until someone does.

  3. 3

Pick a daily reset or a rolling 24 hours

Each runner has its own window, so a daily messages title can sit next to a rolling voice one.

    • Daily Reset

Yesterday decides. Just after midnight UTC, the role moves to the members who led the previous day, and they keep it until the next reset.

    • Rolling 24h

The last 24 hours decide, checked again every 5 minutes. The role follows whoever leads the window, so a big evening in voice shows up the same evening.

  4. 4

The bot moves the role for you

On every check, the bot gives the role to members who moved into the top spots and takes it from members who dropped out. Everyone who stayed on top keeps it.

It remembers who holds the role, so a bot restart or a settings change doesn't leave an old winner wearing it. If Discord turns down a change, the bot tries again on the next check. Pause any runner with its switch and edit it whenever you like.

  5. 5

Announce the winners and pay them in coins

Both are optional. Pick a winners channel and the bot posts a daily recap of the top members at the hour you choose, midnight by default.

Add a coin reward and each winner gets it daily at that hour, outside your daily earning cap. The coins land in your server economy and count toward any running Activity Mania competition.

Members follow the race with /toprunners. It shows every runner's current leaders, the role at stake, the rewards, and the member's own rank.

Setups This Enables

One runner, pointed at four different jobs

A daily Top Chatter title

Rank messages on Daily Reset for the top 3, with a minimum of 20 messages and the recap in your main chat. Yesterday's three most talkative members wear the title all day, and everyone can see who to beat.

A giveaway perk that rotates

Add the runner's role to a giveaway's bypass roles, and today's top members enter in one click at maximum entries. Or require it with the Have a Discord Role task for a giveaway only your most active members can enter.

A voice regulars crew

Rank voice minutes on Rolling 24h for the top 5. Turn on Discord's option to display the role separately in the member list. The members who spent the most time in voice over the last day then sit at the top of the sidebar.

A paid XP champion

Run an XP runner for the top member alone, with a coin reward. The day's best all-rounder gets coins to spend across your server economy.

Newer Members Can Win the Title by Tomorrow

Why a role that moves keeps members coming back

Level roles reward the long haul. That is their job, and over time the members near the top all hold the same roles. A newcomer reading that list sees a long road ahead.

A runner restarts the race every day. The title goes to whoever showed up most yesterday or over the last 24 hours, so a member who joined this week can hold it by tomorrow. Your regulars get a reason to come back daily, and new members get a goal within reach.

The bot does the counting, moves the role, and posts the recap on schedule. Members check the standings with /toprunners, so everyone can see how the title was earned.
